City Stages - Birmingham, AL

City Stages was created in 1989 by a small group of volunteers who joined together with the ideal goal of creating a new music festival as a part of The Alabama Reunion. The Birmingham City Stages festival has now become a world-class music festival, drawing visitors from all-around the United States and the world. The annual City Stages music festival features over 125 various acts on 9 stages and performance areas and has provided thousands of people with memorable and unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime including weddings and engagements.

City Stages, a non-profit organization, also gives back to the community it serves by sponsoring annual music scholarships for high school seniors interested in pursuing a career in music. For the third year, Birmingham City Stages has sponsored the AmeriCorps INTUNE program that uses music to connect young students into the enterprise communities of Smithfield and West End.

City Stages is held on the third weekend in June in downtown Birmingham. This year's Birmingham City Stages 2006 dates are June 16th-18th.
