Pelham has become a destination city with thousands visiting each year. It’s central location in the state offers convenience that’s hard to beat. Local attractions include Verizon Music Center (formerly Oak Mountain Amphitheater), Pelham Racquet Club, Pelham Civic Complex and Oak Mountain State Park.
Pelham's public golf course, Ballantrae Golf Club, is one of the most beautiful pieces of property in Alabama. The Ballantrae Golf Club opened to the public in June 2004. Hotels are conveniently located at Exit 246 off Interstate I-65. A variety of restaurants offer a wide-selection of menus, and many offer private dinning rooms for groups. Campgrounds are available at Oak Mountain State Park and Birmingham South Campground (formerly KOA).
Organizations have selected Pelham as a meeting site to offer their membership convenience and a safe environment. The Pelham Civic Complex, a multi-purpose facility, located off I-65 at Exit 246 can accommodate a variety of events in a modern facility. With a variety of cultural opportunities available in the area, it’s easy to see why Pelham has become a destination.
