Underground Atlanta, Georgia is a retail and entertainment complex with a history. Located in the heart of downtown Atlanta, Underground Atlanta marks the spot where a 19th-century railway was begun in order to connect Atlanta with Chattanooga. The Zero Milepost is still visible near Underground Atlanta, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Today, more than 100 retail stores, restaurants and nightclubs make their home at Underground Atlanta, GA. Notable occupants of Underground Atlanta include an Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau visitor’s center and the Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel & Suites. With its dance clubs, Irish pub, karaoke bar, cabaret and other hot spots, the Kenny's Alley entertainment district of Underground Atlanta, GA offers an exciting addition to Atlanta's nightlife.

True to its name, Underground Atlanta, Georgia really is underground...part of it anyway. The 12-acre complex is made up of three levels. The bottom two levels of Underground Atlanta — Lower Alabama Street and Kenny's Alley — are underground. Only Upper Alabama Street, the uppermost level of Underground Atlanta, is actually above ground.

The most popular event held at Underground Atlanta is the annual Peach Drop, a day-long New Year's Eve celebration for the whole family. An estimated 150,000 people gather at Underground Atlanta, GA to watch an 800-pound peach make its descent down a 138-foot-tall tower. Festivities also include live music and fireworks at midnight.

Underground Atlanta, Georgia is within walking distance of a number of local attractions, such as CNN Center, the World of Coca-Cola, the Georgia State Capitol and the Martin Luther King, Jr. History Center.

Monday – Saturday: 10:00 a.m. - 9:30 p.m.
Sunday: 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Operating hours may vary during winter and at individual restaurants. Nightclubs in Kenny's Alley are allowed to serve alcoholic beverages until 4:00 a.m.

Underground Atlanta Admission
Admission to Underground Atlanta is free. A cover charge is required to enter Kenny's Alley. Fees may apply to individual attractions and activities.
