Corinth, MS - Civil War Itinerary

Tour Stop 1

Crossroads Museum at the Depot – Visit the site where the railroads crossed thrusting Corinth into the national spotlight in the 1860s and home to an impressive collection of local artifacts.

Tour Stop 2   

Driving Tour of Civil War Corinth - Stops include the Corinth National Cemetery, the Contraband Camp, site of Battery Powell, Generals’ Headquarters, and Battery F. 
 

Tour Stop 3  

Lunch at Borroum’s Drug Store - A Confederate veteran opened in 1865 what is now Mississippi’s oldest, continuous  family-operated drugstore.  An old-fashioned soda fountain is a bonus with cherry cokes and chocolate shakes.    

Tour Stop 4

Corinth Civil War Interpretive Center - No visit to Corinth would be complete without seeing the Interpretive Center, a National Park Service Site.  The Center features videos of the Battles of Shiloh and Corinth and an educational water feature.

Tour Stop 5   

Shiloh Battlefield - Just a short drive from Corinth, see the pivotal points of the Battle including the Hornet’s Nest, Peach Orchard, Bloody Pond and Pittsburg Landing. 

Tour Stop 6 

Return to Corinth and end the day at one of the several locally owned restaurants.  Then stroll along the tree-lined streets or enjoy performances at the Corinth Theatre Arts, Pickin’on the Square, the Crossroads Arena or the Coliseum Civic Center (depending upon the date of the visit).
