In the summer months there is the Oxford Blues Festival and the LOU Summer Sunset Series in the Grove on the campus of the University of Mississippi, along with the Annual Faulkner and Yoknapatawpha Conference in July. August kicks of football season at Ole Miss with world class tailgating in the Grove, a 10 acre grassy plot in the heart of campus, before and after all Ole Miss football games.

In addition to these events, visitors and residents alike enjoy Thacker Mountain Radio, a live radio show which broadcasts every Thursday night from Off Square Books on the historic Square in the fall and spring school semesters. There is also the Ford Center for the Performing Arts, a venue at the University of Mississippi with programming in performing arts, public affairs, and the humanities.

Don’t forget to visit the Oxford Convention and Visitors Bureau on the Square, Monday- Friday 8am-5pm in City Hall and on Saturday and Sunday in Skipwith Cottage from 10am-4pm and 1pm-4pm.
