Florida's Space Coast

The Space Coast of Florida has something to offer all ages and all types of visitors, from families to couples and groups, it’s the place to be.
Known as the “Space Coast” because of its historic space relationship, featuring Cape Canaveral and NASA, the region is comprised of surf-style Cocoa Beach, romantic Melbourne Beach, riverside-based Titusville and a host of other unique towns all within one destination.

The Space Coast offers an exciting stretch of 72 miles of beach, the longest span of undisturbed beach in Florida, with the most beach access in any Florida county. There are 12,000 hotel rooms, reflection the destination’s wide diversity.
There are activities to suit every style. Visitors can have fun ranging from surfing and nightlife in the north to romantic secluded getaways in the south, and find a perfect nature hike or jog along the ocean.
Located on the Eastern Coast of Florida and spanning from Cocoa Beach to the exciting Historic Downtown Melbourne, be ready for a unique, all-encompassing trip which offers a casual sophistication and plenty of history. And restaurants satisfy the tastes of visitors whether they’re seeking dining al fresco in a downtown setting or dockside in a nautical venue.

In the northern part of the region, you can see the cruise ships go in and out of Port Canaveral or take a day trip on a fishing charter boat. There are gaming ships like Las Vegas Casino Lines where visitors can try their luck during day cruise excursions.
Port Canaveral offers plenty of nightlife and good restaurants, such as: Rusty’s Seafood and Oyster Bar, Grill’s Seafood Deck & Tiki Bar and the newest offering, Milliken’s Reef.

A little farther south in Cocoa Beach, a fun thing to do is to walk out to the end of the Cocoa Beach Pier and have a drink at the Tiki Bar. Here, guests also can rent surfboards and ride the waves. For surf-themed clothing and surf lessons, the Cocoa Beach Surf Company on A1A is an ideal option. Just across the street sits Ron Jon Surf Shop, featuring the latest in beach fashion and accessories.
