Tennessee America250: A Bicentennial Celebration at Discovery Park
Get ready for an unforgettable Independence Weekend – July 3 – 4, 2026 – as Discovery Park of America in Union City hosts Tennessee America250, part of the nationwide semiquincentennial festivities. This two-day celebration blends patriotism, history, and fun with living history interpreters, reenactments, (including a Boston Tea Party), community singing, and interactive experiences that bring the past to life.
One of the signature moments is the ceremonial ringing of the Liberty Bell replica on July 4 at 2 p.m., part of the nationwide “Let Freedom Ring” tribute. Veterans and their immediate families will enjoy free admission on both days, making it a special way to honor service and freedom.
