Walk of Heroes Veterans War Memorial: Honoring Service in America’s 250th Year

As part of the nationwide America250 commemorations, the Walk of Heroes Veterans War Memorial in Conyers, Georgia, offers a reflective space to honor the sacrifices of American veterans. This three-acre site features the Freedom Watch Statue, the Walk of Heroes Walkway, and the Warfront Enclaves, each designed to pay tribute to different facets of military service and sacrifice. The memorial is open to the public from Thursday through Tuesday, 7:00 AM to dusk, and is closed on Wednesdays and national holidays. It hosts two major annual events: the Memorial Day Ceremony and the Veterans Day Ceremony, both held at the main stage and open to all visitors. For those interested in leaving a lasting tribute, the memorial offers personalized memorial paver bricks, which can be purchased and installed on the first Wednesday of each month.
