On the second weekend of August, 1689, Waldenses from Peidmonte, Italy rose from three years of peril to return to their homeland and rebuild their lives. We are so lucky to have been able to celebrate the Glorious Return with you, and Waldensian Settlements across the world, for 44 years now. From winemaking that originated in those small valleys of Italy, to live music of yesterday and tomorrow, the Waldensian Festival brings locals and visitors together to celebrate this unique history and culture we have been so fortunate to carry on.

2021 will be a celebration for all to remember. After hosting the event in a virtual fashion due to COVID-19 in 2020. The Town of Valdese is excited at the possibility to continue our annual tradition for the 46th year! The Town of Valdese takes pride in hosting outstanding events for all to enjoy in our friendly downtown atmosphere. Entertainment ranges from antique car shows to art exhibits with live music on the main stage throughout the day. Over 170 food/art/craft vendors will fill Main Street.
